Artistic Statement
I am primarily interested in idea driven plays and in exploring new and different methods and styles of theatrical storytelling. For this reason, my plays tend to be ecclectic and singular. However, I most often return thematically to the exploration of memory and dreams. I am inspired by optimism and utopia over dystopia. I enjoy a theater that is performative, theatrical, and speculative. A theater that understands that its very existence is a metaphor and can make or break theatrical conventions in the context of its production.
